How I manage 7,000 notes with Claude Code

Most note-taking systems break down when you hit thousands of notes. Mine used to be a scattered mess of Apple Notes and random markdown files until I discovered how to connect Claude directly to my entire knowledge base.

Here's what changed everything: I'm now using Claude Code to interact with my 7,000+ note Zettelkasten system. Instead of manually searching through years of notes on content strategy, coding, and business projects, I can ask Claude to:

Generate newsletter topics by analyzing my recent notes and suggesting complete outlines with hooks, structure, and CTAs based on what I've been working on.

Create "maps of contents" that automatically organize related notes into master documents. Claude scanned all my MBA-tagged notes and built a comprehensive index that would have taken me hours to create manually.

Clean and import legacy notes from other systems. I exported 1,000 Apple Notes, and Claude categorized them, identified duplicates, and cleaned up the mess in 15 minutes while I made coffee.

The setup took 15 minutes and costs about $20-30 monthly through Anthropic's API. But the real value is having an AI that understands the context of everything you've written and can surface relevant insights when you need them.
