I stopped paying for high-priced SEO tools. I built my own with Claude Code instead.
For years I spent hundreds on Ahrefs and Semrush. Ahrefs alone is 119 euro a month where I live.
So I wired three APIs into Claude Code:
↳ DataForSEO, for keyword data and search volumes
↳ Google Search Console, for what my sites already rank for and the click-through rate
↳ The YouTube API, for what my channel ranks for
100 dollars of DataForSEO credits has lasted six months.
Then I turned the skills into a dedicated SEO agent on the Claude API. Audit, backlinks, gap, rank, plan, seed, content briefs.
It checks whether a site is cited in Google AI overviews and by Claude, Gemini and ChatGPT.
