I tested my own email signup and got a notice saying "subscribed". Nothing else.

No thank you page. No tracking. The form was an inline component nobody had wired up.

That was tenderwatch.ie, my Irish public procurement site. It adds a couple of subscribers a day, so I opened it in Claude Code and spent an afternoon on the email side.

What changed:

↳ Every form now lands on a thank you page, with Plausible and PostHog tracking on each one
↳ Subscribers who sign up from a sector page (construction, IT, healthcare) get a personalised subscribe page showing the open tenders in that sector
↳ A one-to-one transactional email goes out 24 to 47 hours after signup, via Resend, based on where they subscribed
↳ It asks one question: do you want help with bid reviews? One click, tracked

What went wrong:

↳ The first test email had a broken "Yes, I want in" link
↳ Claude told me "construction" was hardcoded, then told me it was not. I made it prove it with 10 test runs
↳ It also spotted a sector filter UX bug I had not asked about. I had it file a GitHub issue and moved on

I used ConvertKit for years. For a B2B site built with Claude Code, Resend wins: it has an MCP, so I manage broadcasts and transactional emails from the terminal.
