My new favourite teacher is a robot.

Earlier this month, I decided to geek out on a new skill: Python for Finance.

I’ve traded options on and off for a while now.

I even enjoy the thrill of the “Wheel Strategy” (a strategy for generating income from stocks).

But Python?

That's more challenging.

A few years ago, I would have quit.

Or I would have spent hours falling down a YouTube rabbit hole, trying to figure out what a "float" is.

Enter Google Guided Learning.

It’s a new feature inside Gemini.

Basically, "Gems" are Google's answer to custom GPTs.

So, I created a custom Gem for learning Python for finance.

When I get stuck on a lesson—which happens every 10 minutes—I plug in the transcript.

Sometimes, I take a screenshot of the code I’ve butchered and upload it.

Then, I ask my Gem: "Explain this to me like I'm five."

And it gives me a step-by-step breakdown.

It doesn’t judge me for asking basic questions.

It doesn’t get tired.

And it connects the dots between the code and the financial concepts I already know.

I also spun up a second Gem specifically for options trading technical analysis. It walked me through a few concepts regarding volatility that I’d completely overlooked.

AI isn't just for writing emails or generating images.

It’s the ultimate accelerator for learning.

To get these results, you need to know how to ask the right questions. I break down the exact prompts I used inside Prompt Writing Studio. You can join here
