Turn AI into your personal teacher (steal this)
|
When I want to learn a new topic (say coding)... I don't just Google it or ask ChatGPT I "prime" Gemini or Claude to become my personal mentor. The secret isn't just asking AI for generic info. If I tell AI to be a "Prompt Engineer," it gives me boring facts. If I tell AI to be a "World-class prompt engineer or coder," it gives me insights I can use. Here is the workflow: 𝟭. 𝗦𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 (𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲) Don't just ask the question. Assign the persona. You need to demand clarity and analogies to make the concepts stick. Copy this prompt: "𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘢 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥-𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘴 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘻𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯 [𝘐𝘕𝘚𝘌𝘙𝘛 𝘛𝘖𝘗𝘐𝘊]. 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘺, 𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘶𝘢𝘭 𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘢𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘪𝘦𝘴. 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱 𝘮𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘰 [𝘐𝘕𝘚𝘌𝘙𝘛 𝘚𝘒𝘐𝘓𝘓]." 𝟮. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘁 𝗟𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮𝗻 "𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁" Great students grill their teachers. Once the AI generates the initial lesson, push it. I always hit it with these three specific follow-ups to turn theory into action: The Breakdown: "𝘊𝘢𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘦𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘬𝘦𝘺 𝘴𝘶𝘣-𝘴𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘴 𝘐 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘮𝘺 [𝘚𝘒𝘐𝘓𝘓]? 𝘐'𝘮 𝘢 [𝘋𝘌𝘚𝘊𝘙𝘐𝘉𝘌 𝘠𝘖𝘜𝘙 𝘙𝘖𝘓𝘌]." The Application: "𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘐 𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭-𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘥𝘢𝘺?" The Syllabus: "𝖢𝖺𝗇 𝗒𝗈𝗎 𝗀𝖾𝗇𝖾𝗋𝖺𝗍𝖾 𝖺𝗇 𝖺𝖼𝗍𝗂𝗈𝗇𝖺𝖻𝗅𝖾 𝟥𝟢-𝖽𝖺𝗒 𝗅𝖾𝖺𝗋𝗇𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝗉𝗅𝖺𝗇 𝖿𝗈𝗋 𝖻𝗎𝗂𝗅𝖽𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝗍𝗁𝗂𝗌 𝗌𝗄𝗂𝗅𝗅?"
